Description
The monument to Edward Dorrington is located in the churchyard about 10 metres south of the east wall of the chancel at the Church of St Mary. This chest tomb, dating from the late 18th century, is made of sandstone and features a thick flat top with a cyma edge mould, quarter balusters, and plain panels. Although it is inscribed with the name Edward Dorrington and the year 1820, the design of the monument suggests it may be from an earlier period. Other inscriptions on the tomb are not legible.
