Description
This is an unidentified chest tomb located about 5 metres south of the porch of the Church of St Andrew. It dates from the early 18th century and is made of sandstone. The tomb features a very thick flat top with a cyma mould edge and flat panels with sunk margins. The base was noted to be sunk at the time of the survey in September 1983. Although none of the inscriptions are legible, the design, particularly the thick top, indicates its early 18th-century origin. This monument is part of a group of six monuments situated south of the porch.
