Description

The Biggs Memorial is a chest tomb located in the churchyard approximately 11.5 metres south of the chancel of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin in English Bicknor. It commemorates Richard Biggs, who died in 1821. The tomb is made of sandstone and features a tent top with a grooved edge, gadrooned quarter balusters, and a tall moulded plinth. The inscription is found on the south side, presented in a simple rectangular panel with concave corners.
