Description

This is a chest tomb dating from the late 18th century, located about 5 metres south of the Biggs memorial in the churchyard of the Church of St Mary the Virgin. It is made of sandstone and features a flat top with moulded capping and a simple plinth, along with lyre-shaped ends. There are inscriptions on the two long sides, but they are mostly indecipherable, except for a date that appears as "179..." on the south side.
