Description

This is an unidentified chest tomb located about 3 metres east of the east wall of the chancel of the Church of St Andrew. It is possibly from the 17th century and constructed from sandstone. At the time of the survey in September 1983, the monument was almost sunk into the ground, with only a very thick tapered top slab, approximately 300 mm thick, and part of a worn stone base visible. The entire structure is badly worn, but it likely was once a monument of significance.
