Description
The Blewett monument is a pedestal tomb located in the churchyard about 10 meters south of the south transept of the Church of All Saints. It commemorates Constance Blewett, who died in 1799, and is made of stone. The tomb features a pyramid top above a scotia, with a weathered lid that has a moulded rim. Below the lid is a leaf frieze instead of fluting. The sides of the tomb are slightly raised and have rectangular panels with scalloped corners, which contain paterae. The corners are adorned with quarter-square elongated balusters, and the capitals also feature a leaf frieze. The lettering on the monument is well-carved, with the first word displaying copperplate flourishes, while some letters are italicized, though most are not.
