Description
The Dobbs monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 13 meters south of the west corner of the south transept of the Church of All Saints. This 18th-century stone tomb features a flat lid with a moulded edge and fielded panels on the long sides, with the bottom of each panel extending slightly downwards at the corners. The ends of the tomb have elongated square pilasters, and the main stem is also carved with a fielded panel. The entire structure rests on a moulded plinth. The monument commemorates Anne, the wife of Thomas Dobbs, who died in 1737, and also includes an inscription for W. Charles, who died in 1777, on the opposite side.
