Description

The gatepiers at Kempley Court, located about 5 meters from the house, were likely built around 1689, coinciding with the construction of the house. They are made of painted random rubble stonework with ashlar tops. The structure consists of two square piers that have plinths and a concrete step between them. The piers are low with a moulded edge on the flat top and feature ball finials at the base of each. There is a later wrought-iron gate with side panels. These gatepiers form a group with the house and barn nearby.
