Description
The monument to Daniel Evans Grindell is located in the churchyard, approximately 3.5 metres northeast of the east gate pier at the entrance to the Church of St Mary. This upright chest tomb dates from the early to mid-19th century and is made of sandstone. It features a flat pyramidal top with a moulded edge, simple quarter balusters, and plain panels. The base is chamfered with a plain sub-base. The inscription on the south side is badly worn, while the north side bears the name Daniel Evans Grindell and the year 1851, although the design appears to be of an earlier date. The monument is situated just east of the path leading to the church entrance.
