Description
This is an unidentified chest tomb located in the churchyard approximately 13 metres southeast of the porch of the Church of St Andrew. It dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century and is made of sandstone. The tomb features a very thick flat top with an inscription and a cross along the moulded edge, as well as sunk panels adorned with rosettes and enriched moulded surrounds. At the time of the survey in September 1983, the entire structure was sunk and overgrown, making the inscriptions illegible. However, the design and the thickness of the top indicate its early date. This monument is part of a group of two, situated about 2.5 metres north of the churchyard cross.
