Description
The Coleman monument is a pedestal tomb located in the churchyard, about 2 meters south of the east corner of the south transept of the Church of All Saints. It is probably from the early 19th century and is made of stone. The lid features a moulded edge that tapers up to a pyramid cap, which also has a moulded edge. There is a feather frieze around the monument, below which are raised pointed ovals on each side intended for lettering. The corners are adorned with elongated quarter-square balusters and a moulded plinth. The monument commemorates Josiah Coleman, who died in 1812, and includes inscriptions for his parents and children who passed away earlier. The lettering is showing signs of weathering.
