7/228 Underwood monument, in the church- yard, about 4m east of north-east corner of porch, Church of St. Lawrence

GV II

Chest tomb; Robert Underwood, died 1770; stone. Flat lid, moulded edge. Ends elongated pilasters, poppies and fruits on returns of shaft; south end raised oval, north rococo carving surrounding swelling centre. West side raised, rectangular panel with indented segmental ends, rococo carving in corners: east side fielded panel, with paterae in scalloped corners. Moulded top to plinth.
