Description

The Terrett Memorial is an altar tomb located in the churchyard about 30 metres southeast of the chancel of the Church of St Mary the Virgin. It dates from the early to mid-19th century, with the earliest decipherable date being 1844. The memorial is made of sandstone and features a square shape with a moulded capping and plinth, along with a fluted frieze. Atop the tomb is a large square cap that rises to a shallow pyramid. Inscriptions are present on each face of the memorial.
