11/243 Selwyn monument in churchyard about 6m north of north porch, Church of St. Peter and St. Paul

GV II

pedestal tomb: early C19; stone. Square dome, above scotia moulding, fillet, above flat top with moulded edge. Fluted frieze below all round, with elongated quarter-square corner balusters below. Sides raised oval panel and rectangular margin with paterae in corners. All on plinth with moulded top. Good lettering. Commemorates John Selwyn, died 1803, Mary Selwyn 1828 and others. Near another monument to Selwyn family, (q.v.).
