11/268 Raymond monument, in churchyard, about 14m south of south aisle, Church of St. Peter and St. Paul

GV II

Chest tomb; early C18; stone. Flat lid, simply moulded edge, wide projection. South side main central section with narrow flanking ones, moulded edge to each: north probably same but badly weathered. Lyre ends, scrolls carved on face, with inscription between on east end, coat of arms in sunk oval on west. All on moulded plinth with wide flat stone base with moulded edge. Top of inscription missing on south; various additional members of family commemorated below dying between 1662 and 1707. 6 children of William Raymond Esq. noted on east end.
