Description
The Dawes monument is a pedestal tomb located in the churchyard about 2.5 meters south of the porch of the Church of All Saints. It commemorates Mary Dawes, who died in 1833, and is made of stone. The top of the tomb is weathered and features two steps that are set back from the moulded edge of the lid. The sides are decorated with a leaf frieze and have a raised rectangular panel with a semi-circular top for lettering, along with a chain of leaves in the spandrel. The plinth has a moulded top, and the lettering is well-cut, with various later inscriptions added.
