Description
The Hartland monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 17 meters northeast of the northeast corner of the tower of the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul. It commemorates Elizabeth Hartland, who died in 1825. The tomb is made of stone and features a plain lid with a moulded edge. The corners have rectangular reeded pilasters that lack capitals or bases. The sides display a central rectangular panel with scalloped corners created by a recessed line, with anthemia in the corners. The ends have a plain rectangular panel also formed by a recessed line. The monument has a moulded top on a high plinth, all resting on a flat stone base.
