Description
The Loveridge Monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 10 meters northeast of the northeast corner of the chancel of the Church of St. Mary. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of stone. The tomb features a flat lid with a moulded edge. The south side is plain with a sunken line along the edge, while the north side has a fielded panel. The ends are designed with elongated pilasters, with a bulbous stem on the east side that bears an inscription, and an urn on the west side. The base is moulded. This monument commemorates Mary Loveridge, who died in 1778, and William Loveridge, who died in 1772, along with other inscriptions.
