Description
The Williams Monument is a rectangular pedestal tomb located about 10 meters north of the west end of the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul in Westbury-on-Severn. It commemorates Abraham Williams, who died in 1806, and is made of stone. The monument features a dome with indented corners, a rectangular shape, and roll and cavetto moulding leading to a flat lid with a moulded edge. The sides of the tomb have rectangular panels with slightly raised margins and moulded edges, while the ends are similar but include a fluted frieze above. The entire structure rests on a moulded base, and the inscription includes some Gothic lettering.
