Description

This late medieval fireplace is located in a barn approximately 25 meters southeast of Plusterwine House. It features the remains of a medieval fireplace and flue, dating from the late medieval period. The fireplace has a very deep stone overmantel with a square moulded fire opening, which is set within the remains of a sandstone stack that sits on a plinth with a chamfered top. There are various blocked openings, and all of this is now part of a large open-sided barn.
