11/226 Browning monument in churchyard, about 16m north of north-east corner of tower, Church of St. Peter and St. Paul

GV II

Pedestal tomb; Browning probably about 1833; stone. Small, square reeded dome, swept cap down to short upstand and moulded edge to lid. Top of small dome missing, probably originally an iron ball finial (see Barrett tomb nearby), not loose baluster now there. Below plain columns at corners without bases or capitals: north and south faces plain rectangular panel with raised, beaded edge; east and west panel outlined with recessed line. Original inscription largely worn off, earliest legible date 1833.
