Description

Union Cottage is a detached dwelling, likely dating from the 17th century, with a front added in the 19th century. The exterior is roughly rendered and features a steep-pitched concrete tile roof, which has a part catslide at the rear. There are two chimneys, one positioned well left of center and the other on the right gable. The building has two storeys and is designed with two windows that are set very wide apart, featuring two-light casements and a significant amount of plain walling. A late 20th-century glazed door is located at the center. The cottage is situated lower than the road level, suggesting it may have originally been associated with the nearby river inlet before later road modifications occurred.
