Description
The Loveridge Monument is a pedestal tomb located in the churchyard, approximately 8 meters east-north-east of the north-east corner of the chancel at the Church of St. Mary. It commemorates Richard Loveridge, who died in 1836, and is made of stone. The tomb features a small pyramid top with a moulded edge and scotia moulding, along with a weathered section and step. The lid has a reeded edge, with the reeding stopped in the center and at the corners. The plain frieze is complemented by elongated quarter-square corner gadrooned balusters. There are raised oval panels on the sides and oval corner paterae. The plinth has a moulded top and a square base, along with additional inscriptions.
