Description

The monument to Joseph Holt is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 7 metres west of the south west buttress of the tower of the Church of St Mary. It dates from the mid-19th century and is made of sandstone. The tomb features a flat inscribed top with a chamfered edge and plain panels. The base was noted to be sunk at the time of survey in November 1983. This monument commemorates Joseph Holt, who passed away in 1836.
