Description

The cross base, dating from the Medieval period, is located in the churchyard about 3 meters south west of the porch of the Church of All Saints in Longehope. It is made of stone and measures approximately 600 millimeters square and 375 millimeters high. The base has a square shape that tapers to an octagonal form through curved splays. It features a top made of domestic mortar, which was reportedly used as a font before 1869, and is supported by three short lengths of moulded stone.
