Description
The Plaisted monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 9 meters south-south-west of the south-west corner of the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul. It commemorates John Plaisted, who died in 1759, and is made of stone. The tomb features a flat lid with a hollow chamfer along the edge. The corners are adorned with quarter-square gadrooned balusters. The north face has a fielded panel with a thin margin, while the south face is plain. The ends of the tomb are marked by a tooled line, and the lettering is well-cut.
