Description
The Loveridge Monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, approximately 9 meters north-east of the north-east corner of the chancel of the Church of St. Mary. It commemorates Loveridge, who died in 1803, and is made of stone. The tomb features a flat lid with a moulded edge and quarter-square corner gadrooned balusters. The south side has a framed raised area with a moulded edge, which creates a rectangular panel with scalloped corners that contains paterae. The north side has a fielded edge to the panel with scalloped corners, while the ends of the tomb also have fielded panels.
