Description
Allen House is a dwelling and former shop dating from the mid-18th century. The building is rendered and features a Welsh slate roof. It stands three storeys high and has five windows; all are sashes with glazing bars on the first and second floors, set in wide architraves. The ground floor includes an early 19th-century bowed shop front on the left, a central door, slender glazing bars with trefoil-headed glazing, and a plain fascia. To the right, there is a two-light sash window without bars. Inside, there are some timber-framed partitions near the entrance, as well as a fine 18th-century shell hood cupboard located on the ground floor to the right.
