Description
This is a chest tomb from the mid-18th century located about 14 meters north-north-east of the north-east corner of the tower of the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul in Westbury-on-Severn. The tomb is made of stone and features a flat lid with a simply moulded edge. The north face has a central circle flanked by vertical end panels. The ends of the tomb are shaped like lyres, with a head in the center surrounded by leaf carvings, which are also present on the scrolled faces of the lyre. The south face of the tomb is covered by an adjoining monument.
