Description
Hans Hill Farmhouse is a former farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It dates from the late 17th century, with a slightly later extension and a 19th-century lean-to that is not of special interest. The building is constructed of limestone rubble and features a limestone slate roof with a brick stack. It has a rectangular plan and the facade is viewed from the rear. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has irregular fenestration, including one and three-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casements with stopped hoods on the main body and the later extension. There is a Tudor arched door that is now blocked, and the right end has flat gable coping with a roll-cross saddle. The left gable end has a stack. The steeply pitched roof was heightened in the 1920s but still reflects its original pitch. Inside, there are moulded stops to the spine beam that supports the first floor.
