Description
Brunswick House is a shop and house located in Northleach, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed squared and dressed limestone, topped with an artificial stone slate roof and features ashlar stacks. The building has a symmetrical, three-bay, two-windowed facade and stands two storeys tall with an attic, which is illuminated by two hipped tile-hung roof dormers.
On the first floor, there are two 12-pane tripartite sash windows with plain architraves, while the ground floor features two large 9-pane shop windows. A central 20th-century part-glazed door is accessed by three steps. There is a band between the ground and first floor, as well as a band at the level of the lintels of the first floor windows. The building is finished with a dentilled eaves cornice and flat coping at the gable ends, which also have gable-end stacks with moulded cappings. The interior has not been inspected.
