Description
Brunswick Cottage is a mid-17th century house located in a row on Market Place in Northleach. It is constructed of limestone rubble with an ashlar facade and has an artificial stone slate roof. The building features a 20th-century stone stack and is two storeys tall with an attic, which is illuminated by a three-light hipped roof dormer. The facade has three bays, with the right-hand bay consisting of a double-width through access that has infill above. The main body of the house has a two-windowed facade, featuring two-light double-chamfered hollow-moulded cross windows. A continuous hoodmould runs over the first-floor windows, and the lower right-hand window has been inserted within a former doorway that includes a keystone. Access to the house is now through a 20th-century part-glazed door from the through access. The building also has a moulded eaves cornice and an axial stack that was formerly located at the gable end. The interior has not been inspected.
