Description

This is an early 17th-century chest tomb located approximately 10.5 meters south of the tower of the Church of St. Peter in Duntisbourne Abbots. It is made of limestone and has a long, narrow shape with plain sides. The north side features an oval inscription panel surrounded by a rope-moulded border. At the west end, there is a circular wreath in relief, while the east end has an inscription panel with a strapwork border, although the inscription itself is illegible. The tomb has a very thick top with a slightly convex chamfer and a chamfered base.
