Description

The Elizabeth Clark monument is a pedestal tomb located in the churchyard of the Church of St Peter, approximately 4 metres south of the John Mitchell monument. It commemorates Elizabeth Clark, the wife of Edward Clark, who died in 1812. The south side of the tomb features an inscription for Edward Clark, who died in 1827. The monument is made of limestone and has a raised flat standing with concave sides and quarter balusters. It includes a moulded base and square inscription panels with simple beaded margins. The top of the tomb is capped with a moulded margin and a moulded pyramidal upper capping.
