Description

The John Smith monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard approximately 10 metres southeast of the chancel of the Church of St John the Baptist. It dates from 1844 and is made of limestone. The tomb is rectangular in shape with corner balusters and features a delicate relief border on the sides, while the ends are plain. It has a moulded plinth set on a stepped base and a moulded top. The north side is inscribed with the name JOHN SMITH, who died in 1844.
