Description
The double barn located approximately 50 meters north of Manor Farm dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of random limestone with dressed stone quoins and features a stone slate roof. The barn has a rectangular plan with two projecting porches and lean-to extensions on the south side.
On the south elevation, there are two two-storey porches, each with double plank doors that have relieving arches and keystones. The return walls at first floor level include single-light and two-light casements. To the left of the lean-to, there is a plank door, while the central lean-to has two 20th-century three-light casements and a 20th-century plank door. The barn also features ventilation slits.
The roadside front showcases two double plank doors with timber lintels, relieving arches, and keystones. An owl hole is present at the west gable end, and the porch gables and gable ends are half-hipped. Inside, the barn comprises six bays with original collar and tie beam roof trusses that include double purlins, one of which has 'V' struts.
