Description

Ganborough is a detached house dating from the late 18th to early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared and dressed stone with a limestone slate roof and brick stacks set on ashlar bases. The main rectangular body of the building is accompanied by a single-storey outbuilding attached to the rear right, which is not of particular interest. The symmetrical front facade has two windows on each floor, featuring double-chamfered stone-mullioned casements with two and three lights. A band runs between the ground and first-floor windows. A 20th-century plank front door sits within a flat-chamfered surround and keystone. Flat gable-end coping and gable-end stacks are present. The interior has not been inspected. This building should not be confused with Ganborough House.
