Description

Bibury Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of roughcast rendered walls with a Welsh slate roof. The house is two storeys high with an attic, and has a double pile plan. The front elevation features two parapet gables linked by a continuous parapet. It has a three-window arrangement on the front, with the exception of two-light mullioned casement windows within each gable. The ground floor windows are mullioned and transomed casements, while the upper floor windows are cross windows, all with hoodmoulds. A central, gabled porch has a square opening and a hoodmould. The ends of the house have two gables each, with gable-mounted chimneys, all rendered, and single-storey outbuildings are attached to both ends. The rear elevation has a three-window arrangement, without gables. The interior has not been inspected. Attached farm buildings are not considered of special interest. The house is a tall design in the Cotswold style, standing prominently on the flat upland landscape.
