Description
Corner Cottage is a house located at the end of a row in Bibury, dating from the early to mid-18th century, and possibly incorporating parts of an earlier structure. It is built from coursed and random rubble limestone, featuring ashlar and rubble chimneys, and has a stone slate roof. The building is two stories high with an attic and includes an outbuilding at the north end.
The front of the cottage displays a mix of window styles, including three small upper floor casements positioned directly under the eaves. The ground floor features 19th-century casements and a doorway with a timber lintel leading to a 20th-century door. There are two chimneys mounted on the ridge. At the north end, an angled wall supports a lean-to that has a two-light mullioned casement. The rear of the building has scattered casements similar to those on the front and a central lean-to. Above the roof, there is stepped stone slate weathering that connects to the adjoining property, No 34, at the south end. The interior has not been inspected.
