Description

Wells Farm Cottage dates from around 1700 and is a two-storey building with an attic, constructed from squared and dressed rubble with tiled roofs. The right side features a coped verge. There is a modern chimney and modern gabled dormers. The cottage has two windows on the upper floor, which are 3-light casements with mullions, while the ground floor to the left has mid-19th century 3-light casements with cambered heads. To the left, there is a doorway with a cambered head. The right side has a lower projecting gabled wing that includes a 2-light mullioned window with a drip in the gable. At the rear, there is a two-storey 'L'-plan extension with two 3-light mullioned windows and a chamfered doorway in the angle. The building features paired chimneys.
