Description
The Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located in Saintbury. It has a facade that is at right angles to the road and is constructed from coursed, squared, and dressed limestone. The roof is made of limestone slate and is half-hipped towards the road. There is an ashlar stack that rises from the eaves at the front left of the building. The cottage features a two-room plan and is a single storey with a garret. The central door, which is from the 20th century, has glazing at the top. To the right of the door, there is a single leaded light window. The cottage also has 20th-century one and two-light windows with leaded lights, some of which have stopped hoods in the gable end facing the road. It is listed primarily for its group value.
