Description
The stable block at Avening Park is a late 18th-century structure used for stabling horses and storing carriages. It is built from ashlar limestone and features a hipped roof made of Cotswold stone slate. The stable has a single central door, with wider entrances on either side leading to loose boxes. Below the eaves, two consoles project slightly at the string band, located at the center and right sides. An archway with stone voussoirs, an enlarged keystone, and impost blocks separates the stable from the carriage store on the right, which also has a hipped Cotswold stone slate roof and double doors. At the rear, there is a single-storey lean-to, and the forecourt is paved.
