Description
Angells is a large cottage that likely dates back to the early 17th century, with an extension added to the north in the 18th century and some 20th-century alterations made to the rear. The building is constructed from random coursed rubble stone and features a stone slate roof at the front, while the rear has a concrete tiled roof. It has a stone ridge stack with an offset and a brick flue, as well as an external brick end stack associated with the 18th-century extension.
The cottage is a single long range with a rear cross range behind the right-hand gable and a small lean-to covering the rest of the rear, with one storey and an attic. The front elevation displays two gables on the original section, each featuring a small oval blocked stone window at the top, and a two-light stone mullion window with a square hoodmould below. There is a three-light stone mullion window on the left gable at ground level, and a three-light wood casement window on the right, both of which have relieving arches. The south end gable has a single light window at the top, with two-light and three-light windows below, both also having square hoodmoulds. The north extension includes two and three-light wood casement windows. The entrance is located in the rear wing and features a 20th-century door.
