Description

This ice house, believed to date from around 1800, is located approximately 120 meters west of Lasborough Park. It is a deep cylindrical structure made of thin-bedded limestone, featuring a domed roof that is covered in earth. At the time of the survey in April 1986, the roof was overgrown. The entrance consists of a plank door set between projecting cheeks, which leads to a renewed ladder descending into the main body of the structure. The lintel above the door was noted to be in poor structural condition during the survey.
