Description
No 2 Long Street is a former town house that has been converted into a bank. It dates from the early 19th century, with a bank front added in the early 20th century. The building is constructed of ashlar and features a hipped slate roof, with no visible stacks. It has three storeys and three windows on the upper floors, which are 9-pane sashes topped with stone cornices. The central window has a pediment supported by consoles. The second floor also features 9-pane sashes, which are framed by moulded stone architraves. The two upper floors are accentuated by neo-classical pilaster quoins, a cornice, and a blocking course. The ground floor bank facade is made of ashlar, with rusticated piers and two attached Doric columns. Between the columns, there are two windows and a door to the right, which has a moulded stone architrave and a keystone.
