Description
The Village Hall, formerly a school, is located in Little Rissington and is now used as the Village Hall, adjacent to Glebe Farmhouse. Above the door, there is a rectangular inscription plaque that reads 'National / School / 1840'. The building is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, featuring dressed stone quoins and a slate roof, with a rectangular plan. There are 20th-century extensions at the rear that are not of special interest. The front facade includes three stone-mullioned cross windows with stopped hoods, and a similar window is found in the left gable end. The entrance features a 19th-century plank door with a 'Tudor'-arched opening, also with a stopped hood and carved spandrels positioned off-centre to the right. The interior has not been inspected.
