Description
Mullions is a house located at the end of a row in Little Rissington, dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with an extension added in the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, featuring dressed stone quoins. The roof is made of concrete tiles, with an artificial stone stack sitting on the base of an ashlar stack. The building has a rectangular plan that includes the right-hand bay of one house along with an extension at the right gable end.
The facade is two storeys high and has two windows, including the extension. On the ground floor, there are two 3-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casements, both with stopped hoods. The first floor features two 2-light stone-mullioned casements, one of which has a stopped hood and double chamfers. A five-light canted bay window is present on the ground floor of the gable end, with a 3-light steel casement window above it. There is also a single-light 20th-century timber-clad dormer. The entrance consists of a 20th-century door with fillets and a concrete lintel, positioned between the two ground floor windows and accessed by two stone steps. The gables are flat coped, and there is a gable-end stack. The extension has a half-hipped roof. The interior has not been inspected.
