Description

The Old Shop is a cottage situated within a row of buildings in Little Rissington. It dates from the late 17th to early 18th century. The building is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, with a stone slate roof and a limestone stack. It is one and a half storeys high. The upper floor is lit by a 2-light, double-chamfered stone-mullioned casement window with a stopped hood to the left-hand bay. A similar casement window is located on the ground floor. A 19th-century four-light canted bay window with horizontal glazing bars is present on the right-hand side. The central entrance features a 19th-century six-panel door, accessed by three stone steps. The interior has not been inspected.
