Description
Redesdale is a detached house located on the south side of Main Street in Bourton-on-the-Hill. It was built in the early to mid-19th century, with a porch added in the late 19th century. The house is constructed of ashlar stone and features a slate roof with limestone gable coping and ashlar stacks.
The building has a rectangular shape with a central porch and a symmetrical facade. It stands three storeys tall and has three windows across the front. The third floor has 9-pane sash windows, while the lower floors have 12-pane sash windows, all framed with beaded architraves. The central gabled porch includes a plate glass window at the front and a panelled door with a fanlight inside. The roof has flat gable coping and a moulded stone eaves cornice, with gable end stacks that have moulded caps. The interior has not been inspected.
