Description
Top Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early to mid-17th century. It features squared limestone construction with an artificial stone roof and flat coped gables. The building has a twin ashlar gable end stack on the left and a single stack on the right. It has a two-room plan with a single room depth and is two-windowed, showcasing two and three-light flat chamfered stone-mullioned windows with stopped hoods, along with a two-light fire window on the far left. A 20th-century gabled porch is located at the front, which includes a four-panelled door framed by a simple, flat chamfered surround. Inside, there is a large fireplace with a wooden bressumer and a seat in the left-hand room. The former cottage to the left is not of listable quality.
